There is too much darkness in the world
People are being robbed of their possessions; some violently, some subtly.
Partners are being lied to, cheated on, abused, debased, trampled upon.
Children are being shut out, crushed, defiled...
Institutions are being raped, exploited, crashed.
People suffer terminal diseases,
Children are born with health challenges,
Cancer, HIV, Tuberculosis, Herpes, Hepatitis, organ failure, heart attacks, hypertension, diabetes...
There is so much poverty and squalor; slum living; people in their right minds actually feeding from the dump....
Deep darkness covering the earth... (Isaiah 60:2)
Child of God, you really ought to be the light where you are
If your light seems little, be even more intentional with your shine.
If your light seems great, beam it even wider
The reason you are here, is to brighten up your space.
Don't just shake your head at the darkness -
You are the light FOR the world.
The glory of God is risen upon you;
Arise today and shine!
