There is a river whose streams bring joy to the city of God, the holy place where the Most High lives. (Psalm 46:4, God’s Word Translation)
Joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and I am a child of the Spirit, Therefore I have joy. Jesus has given me joy. The world did not give it; the world cannot take it!
I walk and work in joy. I have the spirit of gladness. I have worn my garment of praise and chased the spirit of heaviness away. I have poured on my head the oil of joy and cast off grieving clothes. I am beautiful inside and out – no room for grey ashes here, For I have been redeemed from the works of darkness. I am a child of the King.
My joy is full; Jesus filled it up at the cross. My joy is complete now – not later, not tomorrow – NOW! For it is founded on my redemption in Christ. The joy in me is the joy of His salvation; It is not hinged on my works of righteousness but on His saving grace. I am filled with Jesus joy; it overflows, it strengthens.
Better things have been written about me in the Books. I am not small-minded. I am not afraid to conquer new and higher grounds; I am an overcomer. I manifest greatness.
My father is the head of all principalities and powers; He has got me covered, I am not afraid of what man can do to me Therefore I laugh in the face of antagonism; I laugh like the One who sits in heaven laughs, because I am seated with him in heavenly places. My God is a happy God; He is high and lifted up – far above strife, guilt and shame. I have a joy bubble bellowing inside of me that cannot be burst by hunger or danger. There is a ripple of peace and gladness spreading fast through my bones that cannot be deflected by hostility.
My name is Joy; Joy is the nature of God. I do not complain and murmur. My needs are met in Christ; My wants supplied according to His unending riches.
My father has taught me to fly; I am not a chicken on the ground; I am an eagle in the sky. I spread my wings. I rise. I take over. I soar. I burst through the clouds, they are but mere mist.
I sing gladly; I dance happily; I rejoice boldly; I smile broadly; I grin widely; I laugh hard and long. I am comfortable with the sound of my joy. I am enough to make me feel great. I can be good all by myself.
I have joy – Joy! Joy! JOY! I have joy in the Lord. I have joy everlasting forevermore.
