My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! Psalm 121:2 (New Living Translation)
[Conclusion of Jehovah Ebenezer]
Now imagine another kind of help where some friend drives by, stops in front of you, asks you to place the load in the trunk, and get in the front seat beside him!
Ah! Just like that?
Yes. Indeed!
The hardest part of this kind of help is the actual decision to agree to place the burden in the trunk of your friend's car ON YOUR OWN!
Because in your mind you're murmuring; 'Why can't he come down and help me lift it, I've been struggling with this load since... (not your friend's fault), and I'm very tired already'...
The hardest part, while your friend seats still and watches, is for you to realize that once you drop the weight in his car trunk, you do not have to bother about carrying it again.
Yet you seethe in silence... expecting him to get a forklift, lift up the load without your input, and place it in his car trunk... while you stand aside and watch...
You forget so soon how severely you struggled with the same luggage before he drove by... all of a sudden you feel entitled.....
But once you decide to go with him, once you stoop to lift the load... you realize to your amazement that it already feels lighter.
You wonder if any kilos were somewhat subtracted... if it is still the same weight you could not lift earlier....
He smiles...
Then you carry this burden into his car, placing it on your lap - for you have become too used to owning it, it is hard to believe you can actually be without it.
"No dear", he cautions, "Put it down... place it in the trunk and forget about it, you do not need to carry it anymore!"
Phew! What a relief when it finally dawns on you that all you have to do is trust and obey.
Miles later, here you are - your heavy luggage in your friend's trunk - engrossed in fellowship with him and enjoying the ride... laughing, talking, singing...
You get to your destination, turn around to pick up the load again and find it is not there any more...
This is the most rejected form of help, because it always appears too easy to be real....
This is the help of God!

I am dropping the weight and I am going to enjoy this fellowship with God.
This is a Blessing
