Think Highly of Yourself

For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one. Romans 12:3 (Christian Standard Bible)

The Bible did not admonish us to wallow in self abasement or derogation.

Paul simply advised us not to think 'too highly' of ourselves.

In other words, do not become conceited,

Do not be arrogant,

Do not regard yourself as utterly indispensable...

Yea even when you appear indispensable, do not rub it in...

But...

You ought to think 'highly' of yourself

It is scriptural and very spiritual to do so.

The Godhead is embodied in Christ;

Father, Son and Spirit

And Christ dwells in you by the Spirit. (Read Colossians 2:9,10)

That is enough reason to feel high.

Jesus makes intercession on your behalf daily - your name is mentioned in heaven often. (Romans 8:34)

That's another reason to feel high

You are seated with Christ in heavenly places,

Far above principalities and powers... (Ephesians 2:6)

Now if that is not high, what is?

Hold your head up!
